Back in the Batters Box

As you may know, I just started Graduate school after completing my Bachelor's courses last year. So for the past week I've been trying to "get my groove back", so to speak. You can sorta say it's like playing a long season of baseball. Where you finish the season on top, but your still tried and bruised from the long run. So for now this first week or so is like spring training to me, where I got to get used to working hard everyday and get my basics back down.

Life can be like that sometimes, where you have to shutdown and restart again. When you discover that your legs are a little stiff from sitting and your timing is off on your swing from not swinging. But it's spring, so you know you got to get out their and work on those things to get ready for the season. Another thing that happens is, as we grow older those muscles crap-up a little harder and our eyes are a little harder to focus, as each season passes. Still, we practice on.

For a lot of us life can be that way. We face a setback or pause in our lives. We stop and have to refocus, practice a new play or retool a swing that isn't what it once was. When rehabbing an injury you have to retrain the muscles to do what they once did. Sometimes you even retrain them to do it completely different way to keep them from re-injury. Either way, you practice so you can continue to play.

So if you are in a situation where your trying to "get you swing back". Remember to practice, and that your not only doing this for the one's you love, but you're doing for yourself as well.

Play Ball!
