You Can’t Pick ’em
Not My Family |
Fortunately, for me my parents were pretty low-key. It wasn’t until I got married and started added to the brood that the fun really began. I don’t want to sound like I’m hating on my in-laws (both pair), but the questions you get asked, and the things you can hear. Well, you know what I mean. To be fair they are and were good loving people who accepted me into their homes. So if being a part of the family requires you to take on a little crazy, why not?
I suppose my point here is pretty simple. As long as your relatives mean well and don’t set the kitchen on fire, show up drunk to your company picnic, or ask your doctor embarrassing questions before your surgery; then you’re okay. Just be grateful to have someone in your corner, even if that someone give you cigars as a kid or let you swim naked in a public fountain.
